Jasmine Fan (樊怡君) is a Taiwanese choreographer, curator and producer based in Hamburg and Paris. She was born in Taipei and studied dance and film at the National Taiwan University of Arts, then moved to Germany for an MA in Film at the Hamburg University of Fine Arts (HFBK).
Choreographer
Jasmine Fan makes stage works and dance films, and pieces for spaces that aren’t theatres: industrial halls, galleries, foundations. Some of them use sensors and live cameras. COLOR 色 (2023) was an interactive performance with millimetre-wave radar sensors.
Her current project is Touch Movement 空流, for dance, live sound, sensor-based visuals and installation. She developed it in 2025 during a dépARTS residency at the Fondation Fiminco (opens in new tab) in Romainville, supported by the Claussen-Simon-Stiftung (opens in new tab). In 2026 she showed it at CN D’s 1 km de danse (opens in new tab) in Pantin, and as a sortie de résidence at Studios Blanca Li in Paris.
Her earlier pieces OHNEZWEI 無二 (2018), MUDRA (2020) and BARDO (2021) played at LICHTHOF Theater and Kraftwerk Bille in Hamburg, at Alps Move Festival in South Tyrol and at Acker Stadt Palast in Berlin. In 2026 the Tanzrauschen festival invited her to perform at Galerie N46 in Wuppertal.

Producer
Jasmine Fan produces her own work, and from 2018 to 2024 she ran the production of TANZAHOi International Festival for Dance (opens in new tab) in Hamburg, a festival she founded. Most of that job is money and planning: she writes the applications to public funds, foundations and sponsors, then finds the venue, the technical crew and a schedule everyone can agree on. For COLOR she led Art Power, an engineering team in Taiwan, across two time zones. She also takes on production management, touring and funding applications for other choreographers and companies.

Curator
Jasmine Fan curated five editions of TANZAHOi as its artistic director. The festival began as a series of dance workshops and became an international festival for dance film and digital dance. She chose the artists, built the programmes and set up the Bottle Post exchanges with Taipei and Thessaloniki.
In 2022 she was a curatorial resident at CN D × Cité internationale des arts (opens in new tab) in Paris. The same year she sat on the jury of tanz:digital at Dachverband Tanz Deutschland.
